What does Wilderness International (Canada) do?
Wilderness International (Canada) is committed to the protection of the temperate rainforest on the west coast of British Columbia, as well as environmental education. Director Marco Lou, together with Tobias Hürten and Kai Andersch, takes care of land purchases, partnerships and projects. We also work in joint projects with First Nations. In the past, for example, a wilderness run was carried out in the Cowichan Valley. In addition, Wilderness International (Canada) was involved in the "Protect the Peel" project in cooperation with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and the Gwich'in.
