What options do I have for compensation after the calculation?

After the calculation, you have the opportunity to compensate your emissions by protecting a specific area in the temperate rainforest of Canada or the tropical rainforest of Peru. Because large amounts of CO2 are stored there. By tangibly and permanently protecting them, we prevent the release of stored CO2 while preserving habitats and biodiversity. Wilderness International buys the areas legally secure and protects them for all future through land registration and a sitftungskonstrukt. For your donation you will receive a certificate with the exact geo-coordinates of the protected forest area, so that it is directly traceable which piece of primeval forest has been permanently protected with your compensation amount. If you decide to offset with us, you will receive a detailed evaluation document and our CO2 certificate, which you can use to communicate that you have offset your carbon footprint.
