Can I visit "my" protected forest area on site myself?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer the opportunity to visit our protected areas. After all, they should remain exactly that—protected areas. If we offered our donors this opportunity, these forests would no longer be the undisturbed, safe places they are meant to be. Furthermore, our researchers and forest rangers on site would have little time left to carry out their important tasks.
If you would like to get actively involved in Peru, please contact our partner organization Fauna Forever (https://www.faunaforever.org). Fauna Forever regularly seeks volunteers and oversees exciting research projects that take place in the middle of the rainforest, some of which are located directly in our protected areas. This allows you to get to know our protected areas firsthand and help us by supporting research on biodiversity in our protected areas.
