How can I actively participate in Wilderness International?

Thank you for your interest in supporting us! If you would like to support us beyond making a donation, please spread the word about our mission and inform those around you about the importance of environmental and rainforest protection. Are you writing your thesis on a topic that might be of interest to us? Then please get in touch—perhaps we can conduct research together.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer internships or volunteer positions. You can find job openings in our News section and on social media, especially on LinkedIn. If there are no openings listed at the moment, you’re welcome to send us a speculative application, and we’ll save your information—with your permission—until an opportunity may arise. Feel free to contact us about this as well if you’re interested in volunteering.

If you’d like to be on the ground and help out—for example, in Peru—the best way to do so is through our partner organization, Fauna Forever (https://www.faunaforever.org). Fauna Forever has great research projects you can help with, as well as other opportunities to visit—for example, as part of an internship. These projects take place right in the middle of the rainforest, sometimes directly within our protected areas. This way, you’ll get to know our protected areas firsthand and support us by contributing to biodiversity research in these areas.
